The Presale Evaluation Framework
Most crypto presale losses come from inadequate due diligence. Using a systematic evaluation framework eliminates emotional decisions and identifies quality projects. Here is the framework experienced presale investors use.
Factor 1: Team (Score 1-5)
The team is the strongest predictor of presale success.
- 5/5: Public team with verifiable track record in crypto/tech, LinkedIn profiles, past successful projects
- 3/5: Partially doxxed team with some verifiable background
- 1/5: Fully anonymous team with no verifiable history
Factor 2: Smart Contract Audit (Score 1-5)
- 5/5: Audited by top-tier firm (CertiK, OpenZeppelin, Trail of Bits), all critical issues resolved
- 3/5: Audited by mid-tier firm, some issues outstanding
- 1/5: No audit or self-audited only
Factor 3: Token Economics (Score 1-5)
- 5/5: Fair distribution, reasonable team allocation (under 20%), locked liquidity, clear vesting
- 3/5: Acceptable tokenomics with minor concerns
- 1/5: Excessive team allocation, no vesting, hidden mint functions
Factor 4: Technology (Score 1-5)
- 5/5: Solves a real, quantifiable problem with verifiable technology (e.g., BMIC's NIST-standard encryption — publicly verifiable)
- 3/5: Reasonable technology claims but not independently verifiable
- 1/5: Vague buzzwords, no technical whitepaper, proprietary unverifiable claims
Factor 5: Market Traction (Score 1-5)
- 5/5: 100+ organic media features, active community, growing social metrics (BMIC: 186+ media features)
- 3/5: Some media coverage, moderate community
- 1/5: Only paid promotion, fake followers, no organic traction
The 20-Point Threshold
Total scores: 25/25 = exceptional, 20-24 = strong, 15-19 = moderate risk, below 15 = avoid. Only invest in presales scoring 20 or above. BMIC scores strongly across all five factors: identifiable team, audited contracts, transparent tokenomics, NIST-standard technology, and 186+ media features.
